In the early morning hours of what should have been a celebration, 17-year-old Jayden Long of Loganville, Georgia, was fatally shot. The male teenager was attending a birthday party at the Love to Dream event venue on Brown Road in Buford on Saturday, March 22, 2025, when the violence erupted.
Gwinnett County police responded to a call about a person shot at approximately 2:09 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Long suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite first responders' efforts to save him by performing chest compressions, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The party, which was a private birthday event, was attended by individuals estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old.
