Jykerrion Maurice Oliver, a 21-year-old Black male from McRae-Helena, Georgia, was fatally shot on April 18, 2025. Deputies from the Telfair County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 5:10 p.m., where Oliver was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the case at the request of local authorities.
