David Anaya, a 53-year-old man from Tulare, California, tragically lost his life on April 5, 2025, after sustaining gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the vicinity of the 900 block of South K Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Anaya suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite immediate medical assistance and transportation to a local hospital, he succumbed to his wounds.
Following an investigation, law enforcement identified 32-year-old Raymond Ramirez of Farmersville as the suspect responsible for Anaya’s death. Based on evidence collected at the scene, Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Tulare County South Detention Facility. The case remains under active investigation as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
Additionally, records indicate that David Matthew Anaya, a 50-year-old male from Tulare, had prior arrests related to various offenses, including possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, kidnapping, disobeying a domestic relations court order, vandalism, trespassing, and resisting law enforcement. However, it is unclear whether these past legal issues are connected to his death.
