In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3, 2025, tragedy struck in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast, in Washington, D.C. It was there that 31-year-old Alex Alexander, a male resident of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The incident, which occurred at approximately 12:23 a.m., prompted a swift response from the Seventh District officers of the Metropolitan Police Department.
