In the early morning hours of December 26, 2024, the city of Pueblo was jolted by a violent incident that would be recorded as its 20th homicide of the year. David Modesto Trujillo, a 45-year-old male, was killed in a double shooting on the 1100 block of Egan Avenue. When Pueblo Police officers arrived at the scene around 1:53 a.m., they discovered two male victims. One man was found conscious with a gunshot wound, while David Trujillo was deceased.
