In the quiet town of Des Arc, Arkansas, a community was shaken by the unexpected and tragic death of one of its own. On the evening of May 7, 2025, police responded to a distress call at a residence located in the 300 block of South 15th Street. Inside, they found 60-year-old Teri Overton, a White female and a longtime resident of the town, suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
