On Christmas Day in 2024, a tragic event unfolded in west Phoenix that ended the life of Veronica Alvarez-Ramirez, a 44-year-old woman. She was inside her home in the area of 59th Avenue and Indian School Road when the unexpected violence occurred. Sometime between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:40 p.m., gunfire erupted from outside the residence.
