On the evening of April 25, 2025, 33-year-old Armando Vladimir Betancourt-Audia was fatally shot along the Rillito River Park Trail in Tucson, Arizona. The incident unfolded on the bicycle path just east of North First Avenue, a popular route for cyclists and pedestrians. When law enforcement and paramedics arrived, they discovered Mr. Betancourt-Audia with gunshot wounds.
