Letaris Demonds-Lapri Franklin, a 27-year-old African American male, was found dead in his apartment on the 2100 block of 29th Avenue North in North Birmingham on April 10, 2025. Reports indicate that gunshots were heard the previous evening, but his death was not discovered until his family noticed his absence and went to check on him. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later confirmed his identity.
