On the morning of November 17, 1998, police were called to 1111 E. Trafficway after reports of a possible body in the water. First responders arrived to find a deceased male, later identified as 23-year-old John A. Moody. An autopsy would later reveal that the young man's life had been ended by a gunshot wound.
