Linda Faye Sutherlin, a 21-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on November 4, 1971, in Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas. Her death was the result of a brutal murder, in which she suffered 72 bullet wounds to her back, shoulders, and legs. The case led to the conviction of Anthony Michael Knoppa, who was sentenced to 50 years in prison in 1972 for her killing. Another individual, Harry Andrew Lanham, was also sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in the crime.
