Ricky McCormick, aged 41, was found dead on June 30, 1999, in a cornfield near West Alton, Missouri. His body was partially decomposed and was discovered by a woman driving near Route 367. Despite his poor health, including chronic heart and lung issues, Ricky's death was treated as suspicious, and ultimately, the FBI categorized it as a homicide. Investigators could not determine an official cause of death, which contributed to the ongoing mystery surrounding his demise.
