On March 10, 1999, the life of Kaliquah Gilliam, a 21-year-old African American woman, was tragically cut short in her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was residing on Arleta Boulevard when an intruder broke into her residence. The assailant, wielding a knife, launched a brutal attack, stabbing her 36 times in a violent assault that ended her life. Her body was discovered later that same day by a cousin who had come to visit, unaware of the horrific scene that awaited inside the home.
