On October 23, 1993, Larry Wilson, an African American male, was fatally shot during a robbery at a drug house on Eastland Street in Fort Worth, Texas. He was one of several victims in a series of violent crimes committed by Desmond Dominique Jennings and his associates during a crime spree in the fall of 1993.
Desmond Jennings, born on October 4, 1971, in Tarrant County, Texas, was involved in multiple drug-related robberies and murders between October and December 1993.
Along with accomplices John Freeman, James Edward Donald Jr., Joseph L. Griffin, and Robert Anderson, Jennings targeted drug houses in the Fort Worth area. On the night of October 23, 1993, they entered the Eastland Street residence with the intent to rob the occupants, resulting in the death of Larry Wilson.
Following the crime spree, Jennings was arrested in January 1994. He was convicted of capital murder in July 1995 for his role in the killings and was sentenced to death. His appeals were denied, and he was executed by lethal injection on November 16, 1999, at the age of 28.
John Freeman, one of Jennings' accomplices, was also convicted of murder and received a 30-year prison sentence. The other individuals involved faced various charges related to the crimes committed during the spree.
