On April 26, 1976, Calvin Alexander Brinson, an 18-year-old African American male, was fatally stabbed while incarcerated at the Clark County Jail in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brinson, who had been arrested for an undisclosed offense, was housed in a four-man cell alongside Wayne Donald Horton and Scott Fletcher. During an altercation, Horton and Fletcher attacked Brinson, resulting in his death.
