Lydia R. Wingfield, a 78-year-old woman, became a tragic victim in a series of brutal killings that shook Baltimore. On August 31, 2005, a man knocked on her apartment door, claiming to be a childhood friend of her son and giving the name 'Money'. Later that day, the same man, Raymont Hopewell, a 34-year-old drifter with a significant criminal record, broke into her home. He proceeded to rape and strangle her to death in the place she had long called home.
