Minnie R. Holmes, a 25-year-old white woman, was among the confirmed victims of H.H. Holmes, one of America's earliest known serial killers. She died on July 5, 1893, in Chicago, Illinois. Born Wilhelmina Rayford Williams in Mississippi, Minnie was raised by relatives in Texas after the early deaths of her parents.
