Takaylah Tribbit, a 14-year-old African American girl from Chicago, Illinois, was tragically found dead on September 16, 2019. Her body was discovered in a trash-filled alley in Gary, Indiana, with her hands bound behind her back. The circumstances of her death were particularly harrowing, as she had been shot in what was described as an execution-style killing.
