Ashley Shanta-Nicole Harrison, a 26-year-old African American woman from Chicago, IL, tragically lost her life on September 4, 2017. The incident occurred in the West Side Austin neighborhood, where she was shot multiple times in what authorities described as a "domestic incident." The shooting took place at approximately 6:36 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Washington. Both Ashley and the alleged shooter, 34-year-old Brian A. Jones, were found at the scene and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital ...
