Semaj Smith, a 27-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on March 12, 2017. The incident occurred in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan, where Smith was found unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his chest and lower torso. The shooting took place around 3:45 a.m. on Nagle Avenue, between Academy and West 204th streets. Smith was immediately transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
