Danielle Britton, a 17-year-old African-American female, was found deceased on August 4, 1991, in a ditch along Nevada Street in Algiers, Louisiana. Her body was discovered nude and covered with garbage, and an autopsy later confirmed that she had been beaten and strangled. Britton, a high school dropout, had no prior arrests for drug-related offenses or prostitution. She was last seen in a New Orleans bar with an unidentified man before her death.
