Willie Mae Thurmond, a 26-day-old African American female infant, died on April 14, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of Willie Thurmond and Roberta Brown Elder. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as acute bronchial pneumonia.
