Tyna Marlene Bass was a 41-year-old Black / African American female from Atlanta, Georgia, whose death began as a horrifying discovery near Freedom Barkway Dog Park in the Old Fourth Ward area. On May 4, 2015, a man walking his dog near Highland Avenue and Howell Street came across a trash can and realized something was terribly wrong.
