Claudia Marilyn Rutt, an 18-year-old Caucasian female, tragically lost her life on August 1, 1966, in Austin, Texas. Claudia was one of the 14 victims killed by Charles Joseph Whitman during his infamous shooting rampage from the University of Texas Tower. This horrific event also left 32 others wounded.
