Claudia Marilyn Rutt, an 18-year-old Caucasian female, tragically lost her life on August 1, 1966, in Austin, Texas. Claudia was one of the 14 victims killed by Charles Joseph Whitman during his infamous shooting rampage from the University of Texas Tower. This horrific event also left 32 others wounded. Claudia, a recent graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, had been accepted to Texas Christian University for the upcoming fall term. She had dreams of becoming a teacher and was looking forw ...
