Rhonda Renee Johnson, a 13-year-old girl from Galveston, Texas, tragically died on August 4, 1971. She and her friend Sharon Shaw, aged 14, disappeared after spending the day at a Galveston beach. Eyewitnesses last saw them walking on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston. Their bodies were discovered in early 1972 in and around Clear Lake near Galveston Bay. Rhonda's skull was found floating in the lake, and her body was later identified in a marsh near the lake.
