Georgia Caroline Geer, a 14-year-old Caucasian girl from Dickinson, Texas, vanished on September 6, 1974, after skipping school with her friend, 12-year-old Brooks Bracewell. They were last seen at a convenience store in Dickinson. Their disappearance went largely unnoticed by local authorities at the time, as Dickinson was too small to have its own police department, and the Galveston County Sheriff's Deputy who took the initial report dismissed it as a case of two runaways.
