On January 20, 2024, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Maria Ramirez, 59, was fatally shot while stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Gulf Bank Road and North Houston-Rosslyn Road in Houston, Texas. She was returning home from a night out with a 55-year-old female passenger. As they waited at the light, a shot was fired from a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck, striking Ramirez.
