On March 10, 2024, 34-year-old Ruthie McNeese tragically lost her life after being struck by a stray bullet outside the Vegas Hookah Bar and Grill in southwest Houston. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. when a dispute inside the establishment escalated and spilled into the parking lot. As tensions heightened, multiple gunshots were fired, one of which fatally wounded McNeese, who was an innocent bystander preparing to leave the venue.
