Benton Paul Bordelon, a 25-year-old male deputy sheriff from Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on April 16, 1977, in Fort Bend County, Texas. Deputy Bordelon was shot and killed while conducting a narcotics operation with a trooper from the Louisiana State Police. The operation involved meeting a drug dealer at a local motel in Texas, where the fatal shooting occurred.
