On October 11, 1983, Juan Garza, a 30-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed in College Station, Texas. The assailant, Eliseo Hernandez Moreno, was the brother-in-law of Juan Garza. Moreno's violent spree began with the fatal shootings of Juan Garza and his wife, Esther Garza. This initial act of violence was reportedly triggered by Moreno's estrangement from his own wife, Blanca.
