Patrol Officer David Wilburn Roberts, aged 23, was shot and killed on September 21, 1985, in Paris, Texas. He was a young and dedicated officer with the Paris Police Department, having served for two years. Officer Roberts was killed while attempting to apprehend suspects involved in an armed robbery.
