On February 3, 2023, 31-year-old Hireal Shawn Rios of Paris, Texas, was fatally shot. Paris Police responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of W Cherry St. at 1:57 p.m., where they found Rios lying in the street with a severe wound to his face. He was transported to Paris Regional Health, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
