Milka Talavera, a 27-year-old woman from Port Arthur, Texas, tragically died on May 16, 2014, from a gunshot wound to the head. Her death was initially reported as a suicide by her husband, Wallis Mendoza Gervacio. However, a preliminary autopsy revealed that her death was a homicide. Gervacio, who was 47 years old at the time, became the prime suspect in her murder.
