On November 12, 2009, Halimo A. Ismail, a 47-year-old mother of six, was found dead in her Kansas City home under suspicious circumstances. Halimo was discovered by her children in the morning when a cab driver arrived to take them to school. The children, aged 9 and 12, were not ready, prompting them to look for their mother.
