Hargentina Franco, a 3-year-old girl of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on May 24, 2014, in Odessa, Texas. The incident occurred when her mother, Adriana Veliz, was shot in the shoulder by Hargentina's father, Daley Carrasco Franco, who then took his own life. According to Ector County Sheriff’s officials, Daley shot Hargentina before turning the gun on himself.
