On May 6, 2024, 26-year-old Kayla Jean Allen was tragically shot and killed in front of her residence in West Odessa, Texas. The Ector County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a gunshot victim around 3:45 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Kayla deceased near the end of the driveway, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, possibly inflicted by a high-powered rifle.
