On June 1, 2015, Houston police responded to a call at approximately 12:30 p.m. at 6215 Heatherbloom, where they discovered the body of 19-year-old Brianna Knowles. The young African American woman had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities quickly initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Shortly after the incident, 18-year-old Christopher Hollie, an African American male, was arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection to Brianna's death.
