On June 1, 2015, Houston police responded to a call at approximately 12:30 p.m. at 6215 Heatherbloom, where they discovered the body of 19-year-old Brianna Knowles. The young African American woman had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities quickly initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
