Brittani Simmons, a 23-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on June 29, 2022, in North Harris County, Houston, Texas. She was having dinner with her neighbor, Lioneicia Malveaux, when Kentrell O'Brien Brumfield, Malveaux's ex-boyfriend, forcibly entered the apartment and opened fire. Simmons was killed instantly, and Malveaux was critically injured but survived.
