On the evening of April 27, 2024, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Houston police responded to a shooting incident at 8100 Martin Luther King Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Sarah Taplin suffering from a gunshot wound; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
