Reena Koshy Ajith, a 42-year-old woman of Indian ethnicity, tragically lost her life on October 22, 2014, in Houston, Texas. She was working as a pharmacist at Ben Taub General Hospital when she was shot by her co-worker, George Vallikappill, who was 58 years old. Vallikappill shot Reena in the back as she stood at her workstation in the outpatient pharmacy. The incident was captured on surveillance tape inside the pharmacy.
