Elizabeth's family and friends were devastated by her death. They described her as a loving mother and a positive, bubbly person who was always there to support her friends. James Tews, who was also killed in the incident, was remembered as a free-spirited and fun-loving individual with a great sense of humor. He was a graduate of MacArthur High School and had a passion for music.
Christopher Rubio was charged with capital murder and held in the Irving City Jail.
