Janeera Nickol Gonzalez, a 20-year-old female student of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on May 3, 2017, at North Lake College in Irving, Texas. She was studying kinesiology and was just two weeks shy of graduation. The incident was part of a murder-suicide carried out by Adrian Victor Torres, a 21-year-old male who had been stalking Janeera for weeks. Torres fatally shot Janeera in a common study area before taking his own life in a nearby locker room.
