Daquarius Tucker, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 4, 2016, during a Fourth of July block party in Houston's Fourth Ward. Tucker, who was African American, was attending a neighborhood fireworks display when he was targeted by a rival gang. Alongside Tucker, two other men, Charles Jackson and Jamal Dixon-Lackey , were also killed in the shooting, while two additional victims, a 37-year-old male and a 10-year-old boy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
