Teqnika Moultrie, a 30-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 31, 2016, in Austin, Texas. She was visiting her fiancé's family when she was shot and killed by a gunman who opened fire on a crowd in downtown Austin. Moultrie and her fiancé were leaving a doughnut shop when the shooting occurred. The incident also injured four other people.
