On June 9, 2011, Byron Montrez Smith, aged 26, was shot and killed in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on North Garrison Avenue when Byron was approached by an unknown assailant wearing a white T-shirt and dark shorts.
