On the evening of April 2, 2017, a violent altercation in the Carr Square neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, resulted in the death of 37-year-old Corey Joyce. Joyce, a male resident of the area, was present in the 1000 block of North 20th Street when he became involved in a physical confrontation with another individual.
