Brysen Jamal Rhodes, a 20-year-old male from Wortham, Texas, tragically lost his life on August 28, 2016, in College Station, Texas. The incident occurred during a drug deal gone wrong at an apartment complex on Luther Street. Rhodes approached the apartment to purchase narcotics, and a confrontation ensued with 20-year-old Jack Lopez, who was inside the apartment. The exchange of gunfire resulted in the deaths of both Rhodes and Lopez, while Lopez's roommate was injured but survived.
