Jack Lopez, a 20-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on August 28, 2016, in College Station, Texas. The incident occurred during a drug deal gone wrong at an apartment complex on Luther Street. Lopez was involved in a shootout with 20-year-old Brysen Rhodes, who had approached the apartment to buy narcotics. Both Lopez and Rhodes exchanged gunfire and were pronounced dead at the scene. Lopez's roommate was also injured during the incident.
