On the evening of October 13, 2016, 43-year-old Hispanic male Juan Jose Moreno was fatally shot in the 3500 block of Bluebonnet Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas. Responding officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department discovered Moreno deceased at the scene. The incident was classified as a homicide, prompting an immediate investigation.
