Luis D. Martinez, a 23-year-old man from Chicago, Illinois, had his life tragically cut short on October 28, 2020. In the early morning hours, as the city was just beginning to wake, Luis found himself standing outside a building in the 4500 block of South Racine Avenue, in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. What should have been an ordinary moment in his young life turned into an unimaginable nightmare.
